Ram Castration

Rams for castration usually have a rubber ring applied to the neck of the scrotum in the first couple of days of life.

However, we can castrate older lambs that have been missed or pet rams that you do not want to breed from, surgically or with burdizzos.

The age and temperament of the ram dictates whether this is done under local anaesthesia, or in conjunction with sedation or general anaesthesia.
