Description
Selekt Restore is a fully water soluble oral rehydration powder for fluid therapy in adult ruminants.
It provides a balanced formulation of dextrose and electrolytes, including calcium and magnesium, specifically designed for
adult ruminants.
Administration:
Dissolve one 400g sachet of selekt restore in 20L of warm (38C) water. This creates an isotonic drench that rapidly replaced electrolytes lost due to mild or moderate dehydration.
Composition:
- Complete electrolyte profile – Sodium chloride stabilises acid-base balance; potassium chloride corrects sub-clinical hypokalaemia that suppresses rumen motility.
- Calcium & magnesium support – Low-level calcium propionate (16 g) and magnesium sulphate (4 g) maintain plasma cation levels without risking milk-fever rebound.
- Dextrose energy (175 g) makes the solution highly palatable so many cows drink voluntarily after the first pump drench, reducing labour.
- Pump-friendly – Dissolves completely; no grit to clog Selekt pumps or drencher hoses.
