Description
Rehydion Gel supports animals during scouring by acting as an effective oral rehydration therapy. It can be used in calves, lambs and goat kids.
Rehydion can also be used proactively to support calves and lambs that are at risk of stress or infection. E.g:
- If slow to suckle
- Weaning or feed changes
- From handling or transport
- When in contact with scouring animals
The gel is mixed with milk or water and provides electrolytes for hydration. This allows for continued feeding without interfering with milk digestion. The solution also helps balance the body’s pH by correcting acidosis, which commonly occurs during scouring.
Dosage:
The gel is mixed with tepid milk or water to create a solution. A common ratio is 20ml of gel per 1 litre of liquid.
